i have damaged 7 disc of two types, and had no clue about what's going on, i have done it before. Apparently "Power Calibration Error" can also mean "Not enough power available from usb port to calibrate the freakin laser beam". I unchecked burn DVD and checked burn image. cdanteek built... the once secondary (now primary) failed the same way.

Then I blew hard on the lens, gave it 30 seconds for any condensation from my breath to clear, and tried again - and it worked!
