I'll just tell him to keep using his 500GB external and to transfer only the movies he wants to keep to his 3TB drive.
All sorted now. For it to work properly with shrink, you have to have it directly in a file on your computer for using it and then transfer it back where you had it I only use Shrink with a 32bit . i'd always mount the image with Daemon-tools. Burn Movie Dvd Shrink Works fine for ISO files. Shrink works great on my Win7 64bit.
