Reading all you your feedback, it looks like this is definitely an Apple problem (any Apple engineer reading this?) and not a player problem. If you don't care whether or not DVD Player remembers where you left off on the discs you've viewed, trash the Settings folder. I'm having trouble with disc 4. (Haven't tried 5 & 6, but I'm sure it's problematic as stated here.) This is on my MacBook Pro.
