The other problem you may be encountering is the fact the R1/R2 discs usually use MUCH nastier copy protection methods than what we usually see on R4 releases, and the old Please Help. I always thought that MTR could rip different regions, but this isn't the case? These are store-bought DVDs, and I get errors 70025 and 70005: "DVD Player encountered an error it could not recover from. Also make sure you have QE/CI enabled, I couldn't get VLC to work because there was no hardware accelretaion for the device tio display,maybe its the same with DVD player.
