a) Try another disk with MTR, just to see if you really do have a problem with that program b) Try one of the other programs. The other problem you may be encountering is the fact the R1/R2 discs usually use MUCH nastier copy protection methods than what we usually see on R4 releases, and the old Please Help. I always thought that MTR could rip different regions, but this isn't the case? I'm having trouble with disc 4. (Haven't tried 5 & 6, but I'm sure it's problematic as stated here.) This is on my MacBook Pro. then, STOP. Also make sure you have QE/CI enabled, I couldn't get VLC to work because there was no hardware accelretaion for the device tio display,maybe its the same with DVD player.
