I have read a bit about C2 error pointers so a drive which supports this would be best I suppose ? Remove the taped paper from the CD-R, it is not needed anymore, but can be used to create further test CDs.

This setup runs very fast (typically 10X to 30X) and AccurateRip says that it is doing a good job. The 0 dB(A) baseline at the top is marked slightly different. Bad and protected ones.
