You can try re-installing the software or seeing if there is a newer version. My CD/DVD drive is H. We ended up replacing CPU also (time for upgrade anyhow), but all other components stayed the same. Sometimes older motherboards will have some mix of sata ][ ports and sata ]|[ ports.
