And that doesnt even work all the time LOL... or failing that is there another free program thats as straightforward as dvd shrink? Maybe the lens on your reader is dirty, have you tried running a cleaning disc in the dvd burner? I don't want to simply have jpgs.

I know Windows 7 handles quad core multi threading much better than XP but given XP's age that shouldn't be a surprise really.
