Is there a format that I should try to burn it to. I've had the "cyclic redundancy error", which I've managed to overcome by ripping to my HD with DVDDecrypter, then using DVDShrink to compess... It needs Nero to burn (as does DVDShrink) and IIRC it's a freebie but the user interface isn't as easy to follow as DVDShrink so I still used DVDShrink/AnyDVD. You can make menus and chapters too but I haven't played with any of that yet. Anyone familiar w/ this problem??? Ive not had the problem reburning old dvds and have tried each dvd that has the problem in both my drives, this was happening before i did a recent reformat and I found myself with this cyclic redundancy error and believe it was b/c of the the disc having scratches.

Use a disc cleaning kit, or use water or alcohol and a piece of cotton shirt. I'm in the process of writing an article about this, but school work is #1 priority. I then put in another dvd "Whiteout" and it rips fine. Question is, do you think it is the disc(tried cleaning with a commercial cleaning unit), can I just use Decrypter to make an ISO, then shrink that?
